Salary – (Grade 8): £33,291 - £40,728 (£42,684 unconsolidated maximum through progression) plus a welcome bonus of £1000. A retention payment on an increasing scale, starting with £1000 on completion of your first year, £2000 on completion of your second year and £3000 every year thereafter. Free Parking
Our Locality teams offer a social work service to children and young people in the Borough who are living at home on a plan across the tiers of need. This is achieved by working in partnership with relevant agencies, children and young people and their families.
Within the team's geographical area you will support children and young people through robust assessment, SMART planning and effective intervention to support them in achieving positive outcomes within their families and communities. Working within a restorative practice approach, you will work in partnership with families and multi-agency colleagues in intervening to address both the presenting concerns and underlying difficulties.
We welcome applications from qualified Social Workers who have a thorough understanding of the frameworks that underpin social work practice, can bring insight and experience to the team and the lives of children and are able to show initiative and can develop our services to an outstanding standard. Social Worker – Referral and Assessment
Salary – (Grade 8): £33,291 - £40,728 (£42,684 unconsolidated maximum through performance related progression) plus a welcome bonus of £1000. A retention payment on an increasing scale, starting with £1000 on completion of your first year, £2000 on completion of your second year and £3000 every year thereafter.
The Referral and Assessment service is to help children in need living with their families in the community to achieve good outcomes in their health, education and family relationships and to ensure they are appropriately safeguarded, by assessing need and planning and coordinating the care arrangements necessary to meet their needs as identified. The Referral and Assessment Service completes assessments referred in via MASH who are living in the London Borough of Sutton and who meet the threshold for support.

We welcome applications from individuals with a recognised Social Work qualification, who are HCPC registered and have experience and who are enthusiastic about frontline social work.
Our culture of strong, accessible and supportive management will provide you with good regular supervision and the opportunity to take part in restorative supervision and case discussions. There are also opportunities to undertake specific training such as PAMS assessments, Parenting assessments, ABE training and practice teaching.
